It’s not that surprising for a 30+-year-old TV show. It’s not even in reruns that much anymore.
But all the cool people know about it.
That’s why he’s such a great character, though. He’s not static, and he’s deeply flawed. He’s human.
“Due to the number of people bored last Sunday, next Sunday will be canceled.”
Yeah but no. Yes, the docs (and soldiers not seen in the context of the show) are in a shitty position and just want some human contact and comfort, but that doesn’t excuse infidelity. There’s never any excuse for it and anyone telling you something different is selling you something. “I’m lonely and in a warzone” is a pretty shitty thing to say to your spouse.
I never had to watch M*A*S*H, but it was on in my grandparents house all the time so I saw a lot of it. Life would suck without it.
